Our Japanese Tiles collection brings together 59 porcelain tiles made in Japan, from slim finger mosaics to hand-glazed square and brick shapes. They suit kitchen splashbacks, bathroom walls, feature niches and any spot where you want a bit of craft and character. Sizes and shapes

The range runs from small mosaic pieces through to larger format tiles. You will find finger and kit kat style formats like 22.5 x 151.5 mm, 240 x 40 mm and 96 x 21 mm, square mosaics such as 25 x 25 mm, 24.8 x 24.8 mm, 71.5 x 71.5 mm and 97 x 97 mm, plus brick and rectangle shapes including 45 x 195 mm, 23 x 92 mm, 47.5 x 304 mm, 91 x 242 mm and 250 x 400 mm. Smaller mosaics tend to come on mesh sheets, which makes them easier to set around curves and corners.

Finishes and colours

Choose between gloss and matt finishes. Gloss picks up light and reads a little brighter, while matt gives a softer, more muted surface. Colours cover White, Beige, Green, Yellow, Red, Brown, Blue, Gold, Bronze, Charcoal, Aqua and Oribe Green, so there is scope for calm neutrals as well as stronger accent walls. Because these are hand-glazed porcelain, expect gentle variation in tone and depth across tiles, which is part of the look.

Where they work

These tiles are made for walls and feature areas rather than heavy-traffic flooring. Finger and kit kat mosaics are a popular choice for splashbacks and shower walls, while the larger brick and square formats work well across full feature walls. If you are mixing formats, keep them within one colour family to hold the scheme together.

Buying notes

Coverage is listed per box in m² on each product page, so check the tile you like and match it to your wall area, then add a little extra for cuts and offcuts. If you want to see and feel the glaze before you commit, you can order up to five samples for $15, and that amount is credited to your first order.
