Osaka is a Japanese hand glazed finger mosaic in a grey-blue speckle, with each piece measuring 45 x 195 mm. It's a larger take on the kit kat mosaic, well suited to kitchen splashbacks, bathroom and laundry walls, and feature walls where you want a bit of texture and colour movement.

The look

Because the glaze is applied by hand, the grey-blue tone shifts slightly from piece to piece, with a soft speckle running through it. That variation is part of the character, so no two areas of wall read exactly the same. The long finger format lays up in stacked or brick patterns and works vertically or horizontally.

Laying and grout

These come mounted on mesh sheets, which keeps spacing even and speeds up the job across a wall. Choose a grout colour to match your plan: a tone close to the tile keeps things quiet, while a contrast grout picks out the finger shape.
