About Green Kitchen Splashback
Green kitchen splashback tiles bring a natural, easy colour to the wall behind your benchtop, cooktop or sink. This range runs from soft mint through to deeper jade and Oribe green, in shapes from classic subway to kit kat and fishscale. They suit new kitchens and renovations, and many work equally well in laundries and bathrooms.
Shapes and looks
You'll find square tiles, subway and brick shapes, Japanese kit kat (finger mosaic) and fishscale, plus pennyround, zellige-look, terrazzo-look, stone-look and concrete-look options. Sizes range from small 23 x 23 mm mosaics up to 604 x 604 mm, taking in popular splashback formats like 75 x 150 mm, 100 x 100 mm, 60 x 240 mm and 132 x 132 mm. Slim 12 x 92 mm and 48 x 48 mm pieces are here too for finer, textured walls.
Colours and finishes
The green tones run across mint green, jade green, water green, soft olive and Oribe green, with neutrals like white, grey and beige for pairing or grouting decisions. Finishes include gloss for a bright reflective wall, matt for a softer flat surface, and grip where more texture helps. Tiles are made in porcelain and ceramic, produced in Spain, Italy and Japan.
Slip ratings
Splashbacks are wall tiles, but some pieces in this range carry slip ratings from P2 up to P5 if you want to continue a tile onto the floor. Check the rating listed on each product before using it underfoot.
How to buy
Coverage is listed on each product per box in square metres, so measure your splashback area and add a little for cuts and offcuts before you order. If you're weighing up two or three greens, order up to five samples for $15, and that amount is credited to your first order. You can also see the tiles in person at our Sydney showroom in Waterloo, where holding a tile against your benchtop and cabinetry colour is the quickest way to decide.
Choosing the right one
For a traditional look, subway and brick shapes in gloss green sit well behind a cooktop. For something more handmade, the zellige-look and Japanese kit kat tiles add subtle variation and texture. Smaller mosaics like fishscale and pennyround create more grout lines and detail, while larger square and porcelain formats keep the wall calm with fewer joins.
