Ashcroft Rust is a 60 x 250mm Italian porcelain tile with a matte finish and a warm red, brick-look face. The slim proportions read like a real brick, which makes it a good fit for a feature wall, a kitchen splashback or a bathroom that wants some texture and colour.
Where it works
This one is versatile. Use it on bathroom walls and floors, kitchen floors and splashbacks, common area floors and general wall areas. At 10mm thick it holds up underfoot, and the P5 slip rating means it can also go outdoors and through wet zones like shower floors.
Laying and grout
The brick shape lends itself to a stacked or offset brick bond. A contrasting grout will pick out each unit and lean into the industrial look, while a matched rust or warm grey grout keeps things softer. Being porcelain, the body is dense and low-maintenance, so no sealing of the tile itself is needed.
