Small Mosaic Tiles

Small mosaic tiles are little pieces set close together to cover walls and floors with plenty of grout lines and texture. They suit kitchen splashbacks, shower walls and niches, bathroom floors, feature strips and pool surrounds, where a smaller format lets the tile follow curves and steps more easily than a large panel. This range holds 116 options in a mix of shapes, colours and finishes, many of them handcrafted in Japan.

Shapes and product types

The collection covers square mosaics, kit kat (finger) mosaics, hexagons, pennyrounds and fishscale, along with Japanese and Carrara styles. Sizes run from tiny 23mm x 23mm squares up to longer fingers such as 20mm x 145mm and 45mm x 195mm, plus 48mm x 48mm, 71.5mm x 71.5mm, 97mm x 97mm, 100mm x 100mm squares and a 73mm concave piece. Most arrive on mesh-backed sheets, so you lay several tiles at once rather than one by one.

Colours and finishes

Colours range from white, ivory and grey through to charcoal and black, with green, blue, red, yellow, orange, pink and brown for something warmer. Finishes are gloss or matt. Gloss bounces more light around a shower or splashback, while matt keeps things quieter and hides water spots.

Materials and looks

You will find both ceramic and porcelain here, including marble look and terracotta look designs. Slip ratings on the range go up to P5, with P4 options as well, which is worth checking if the tiles are heading onto a floor or a wet area.

How to buy and how much you need

Coverage is listed per box in square metres on each product page, so work out your wall or floor area, add roughly ten per cent for cuts and waste, then round up to full boxes. Because mosaics come on sheets, keep a little spare for later repairs, as dye lots can shift between batches.

See it before you commit

Colour and finish read differently in person, especially with gloss. You can order up to five samples for $15, and that $15 is credited to your first order.
